Objective
1. To increase the capacity of 6994 poor families in Naopara Union of Naria Upazila of Shariatpur District through the program so that they can alleviate their poverty on a sustainable basis.
2. Ensuring access of the poor to health, nutrition, education.
Objective: To enrich a union through all development activities including health, education and livelihood.
Project Description
Objective
The main objective of the health care and nutrition program is to achieve economic and social emancipation and physical and mental well-being of the people of the prosperous Union, especially the marginalized poor and vulnerable (women, children and the elderly) through sustainable development of health, nutrition and family welfare.
Goals:
- Creating and increasing public access to quality healthcare
- Making health care accessible and developing a habit of using medicine with medical advice.
- To provide necessary assistance to improve the nutritional status of the poor. To motivate the people to increase the production of different types of fruits and vegetables with the aim of making it easier to get nutritious food.
- To reduce maternal and child malnutrition and to take necessary steps to reduce infant and maternal mortality.
- Develop effective arrangements for safe and hygienic delivery and maternity and neonatal care
- To raise awareness about vaccination and reproductive health in children, adolescents and pregnant women.
- To create special health care opportunities for the physically and mentally handicapped and the elderly.
- To make it easier for the general public to get proper treatment by connecting to community clinics, local government or private hospitals / private clinics.
