Description of the sectors in which NUSA disburses loans

Jagoron
Jagran loans are disbursed to the poor from a minimum of Rs 10,000 to a maximum of Rs 70,000. Beneficiaries of this loan engage in various types of small business, goat rearing, cow rearing, various types of farming activities. The money disbursed from the borrowers is collected in a total of 48 installments on a weekly basis with a declining 24% service charge.

 


 

Ogroshor
Small entrepreneurs are given loans ranging from a minimum of Rs. 80,001 to a maximum of Rs.15,00,000. At least twice successfully Jagran loan providers have been brought under the advanced loan. The loan is repaid in monthly installments in 11 installments with a declining 24% service charge. Beneficiaries of the loan invest in small business, dairy farming, poultry farming, food processing, small cottage industries, transportation business, fish farming, etc.

 


 

Buniyad
The loan is given to the very poor agricultural day laborers, non-agricultural day laborers, rickshaw-van drivers, beggars. Loans ranging from a minimum of Rs 5,000 to a maximum of Rs 50,000 are provided. The money disbursed from the borrowers and the declining 20% service charge is collected in a total of 45 installments on a weekly basis. With the help of this loan, the beneficiaries are engaged in poultry rearing, goat rearing, agricultural work on barga land, flattened fried rice, puffed rice processing etc.

 


 

Shufolon
All the members who are covered by other loans will be able to take Sufalan loan as associate loan. This loan is usually given for fish farming, winter vegetable farming, cow fattening etc. projects. The maximum term of this loan is 6 months. This loan is recovered at one time including service charge.

 


 

Income Generating Activities Loans
These loans are provided in income generating activities to increase income under the Samriddhi program. The term of this loan is up to 2 years. This loan ranges from Rs. 80,001 to a maximum of Rs. 15,00,000. The disbursed loan is repaid in 22 installments with declining 24% service charge.

 


 

Standard of Life Improvement Loans
It is provided as a collaborative loan at a declining rate of 7%. The maximum disbursement of this loan is Rs. 10,000. The loan is repaid on a monthly basis with a grace period of 1 month.

 


 

Asset Creation Loan
This loan is provided for the purpose of creating assets as a collaborative loan at a declining rate of 7%. The maximum term of the loan is 3 years. The loan is disbursed up to a maximum of Rs 30,000. These loans are disbursed to create wealth. The loan is repaid in 33 installments with service charge for a grace period of 3 months.

 


 

Ogroshor MDP
Naria Unnayan Samiti (NUSA) has been implementing Microenterprise Development Project (MDP) in the working area since July 1, 2019 with the funding of Asian Development Bank in collaboration with PKSFA. In the financial year 2019-2020, 3 crore taka of the said loan has been distributed among 199 borrowers. Debt service charges are declining by 24%. Collected on a monthly basis. The distribution amount has been provided from 1 lakh to 12 lakhs in agricultural sectors such as fisheries, livestock and poultry programs and manufacturing sectors such as food processing, small business, services and other sectors. The MDP loan balance as on June 30, 2020 is Rs. 2,64,24,621 and the savings balance is Rs. 39,46,714

 


 

Loan for Elderly People Income Generation (LEGIP)
Naria Unnayan Samiti (NUSA) with the financial support of PKSF has distributed Rs. 54.25 lakh among the senior citizens in the financial year 2019-2010. As on June 30, 2020, the loan balance is Tk 49.64 lakh and
the savings balance is Tk 1.60 lakh. This loan is recovered from the senior members at a declining rate of 16%. Debt range from Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000. The project is being implemented in Naopara of Naria Upazila and Charsensas Union of Vederganj Upazila.
