Introduction
One-third of the population of Bangladesh is in the age group of 15-45 years and a large section of this huge population is constantly entering the field of work without the required skills. As a result, their desired economic productivity is not achieved. As a result, they are not able to make the desired contribution to the economic growth of the family and the country. The role of foreign remittances is very important in accelerating the economic dynamism of Bangladesh. The majority of Bangladeshis working abroad are unskilled or semi-skilled who are employed in low wage jobs in low working environment. It is possible to ensure high flow of foreign remittances by sending skilled workers abroad.

In this context, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SOC) have provided funding and rural activities to create employment by providing on-demand skills developmental training to children from low-income families in Bangladesh. The project is being implemented jointly by Naria Unnayan Samiti (NUSA) and Naria Polytechnic Institute (GHCO) with the technical assistance of Sahayak Foundation (Chakjhai).
